Wendell Dutt, Regional representative and member of our chapter and camp, prolongs our suspense as he recounts his attendance at the national convention during our June 23, 2004 Chapter meeting. Of course there were several legislative issues of importance and we welcomed his report. He then surprised us by informing us that Marvin Shields Camp is the recipient of the Jonathan M. Wainwright Award for the most outstanding Heroes Camp for the year 2003-04
Wendell called up Don Patrick, Commander of Marvin Shields Camp during the time period to accept the award on behalf of Marvin Shields Camp.
Br. Don recognized that a large portion of the success enjoyed by Marvin Shields Camp was due to his Chief of Staff, and current Camp Commander Fred Johnson, shown here with the award while Don Patrick looks on.
